Over spring break, I was fortunate enough to travel to Charleston, South Carolina to volunteer with children at different locations. We worked with…..
Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry,
Charleston Area Children’s Garden Project,
and WINGS.
We worked at the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry for two days. We helped with a field trip and running various rooms in the museum, making sure everything was taken care of for the guests. While volunteering with the Charleston Area Children’s Garden Project, we worked at Memminger Elementary School and created a butterfly garden for the students. They helped us plant flowers and vegetables and built signs for the garden. Our last experience was at E.A. Burns Elementary School working with an organization called WINGS. WINGS focuses on social and emotional support and helps students to become better people while being aware of others and the world around them. We worked with WINGS from Monday through Friday and formed amazing bonds with all of the kids we were lucky enough to meet.
Sounds like you have an incredibly giving spring break. I love how you used photos to document your experience!

Sounds like your spring break was well-spent. I wouldn’t have thought about volunteering over spring break, but it sounds like something I’d like to try some time
